We built the Tip Over Protection Infrared Heater for places that need serious, deep warmth—think hot yoga studios where the heat needs to be intense, but safe. It’s hardwired, and that’s intentional. The whole point is this: you get powerful, focused heat, but the lamp shuts off the second it tilts past a set angle. No fuss. No delay. That mechanical cut-off keeps surfaces from getting scorched and keeps the heater predictable, even when the room is full of movement.
What’s Under the Hood
The heart of it is a shortwave halogen infrared tube. It gets hot fast and stays steady, delivering that radiant warmth you feel on your skin. It runs on 400V, which is a big reason it stays stable over commercial wiring. You can run higher wattage across longer distances without the power dipping. Just keep in mind: your wiring and breakers need to be matched to that load. And the tube? It’s 300mm long—compact enough to keep the footprint small, but wide enough to spread the warmth across a good area.
Materials and the Safety That Doesn’t Quit
The tube is wrapped in quartz, filled with halogen gas. That combo keeps the filament steady even when temperatures climb, and handles sudden heat stress without blinking. Inside, the halogen cycle does a neat trick: it helps keep the output consistent over time by putting material back onto the filament as it naturally evaporates. So the heater doesn’t get lazy as the hours add up. Connection-wise, it uses an R7s connector—standard, double-ended, and easy to swap out when you need a replacement. And the tip-over safety? Pure mechanics. No software. No “wait for power.” If the unit gets knocked, the tilt sensor trips and the lamp cuts out. Immediately.
Where It Shines—and Why It Matters
In hot yoga and deep-relaxation spaces, this heater throws directional infrared warmth. It warms bodies and surfaces directly, instead of trying to heat the entire room air. That feels different—cozier, more focused. The tip-over protection takes a real worry off the table. If someone bumps it, or something shifts, the lamp doesn’t keep blasting heat onto one spot.
